Competitions & Categories
In addition to weekly classes, the Club also offers the chance to participate in a number of competitions all over the country. Competitions run throughout the year, allowing flexibility around your busy schedules.
Competitions allow Leeds to show other universities how well we can dance as well as our amazing team spirit. We attend both varsity competitions (featuring the best universities on the competitive University circuit) and friendly competitions (much smaller, more relaxed and friendly, allowing time for fun dances and giving you the opportunity to dance 10+ dances if desired).
However, there is never any pressure to compete (though it is highly enjoyable)! If you would like to come and watch and support the team without competing, we would love to have you! Please speak to the Team Captains for more information.

Offbeat is a team competition performed at the two major competitions of the year (NUDC and IVDC). It is a mixture of other dance styles (strictly no Ballroom and Latin) and is great fun to participate in. Please speak to the Offbeat Captain who would love for you to get involved.
