Competition Schedule 2017/2018

The first competition of the year has a fun and friendly feel, allowing all levels to see how university competitions work and brush off the competition nerves in a smaller and friendlier setting.

This is the another of the major varsities, held in the Birmingham Tower Ballroom.  It also includes a fun version of a team match, the ‘Warwick Challenge’ where our A team dance the alternative four dances (Tango, Foxtrot, Samba and Rumba) as well as an amazing demonstration.

This is one of the five major varsity competitions, bringing together some of the best competitors representing all universities across the UK.

This is a fun way to finish the semester as it is a day of fun competitions and highly recommended.  There are usually competitions in all ten dances allowing you to try out more than just the traditional four.  The day usually culminates in a fancy dress team match.

A friendly competition in Birmingham and a great way to get back into competing after the Winter holidays.

This is a great way to warm up for Northerns and Nationals later in the semester.

Hosted by a different Northern university each year. NUDC brings together all universities from the North of England and Scotland.  It allows you to try out all ten dances if you wish, as it includes open 5-dances in both styles.  It also includes a Sequence, Salsa and Acrobatic and Non-Acrobatic Rock n Roll event.

Held in the world famous, Blackpool Winter Gardens, this is the biggest competition of the year. Attended by all the universities on the circuit. We stay overnight on both Friday and Saturday in a hotel, so be ready to experience a night-out in blackpool and explore the seaside town.

The last friendly competition of the year, this is a fantastic and fun way to commemorate a year of fun!

The final competition of the year, very similar to Manchester Winter. This also represents a perfect opportunity for many passionate dancers to perform before stress of early exams sets in.
