Dale Bennett

City-Limits Dance

Dale started dancing at the age of 6 at his father’s dance school.
His career quickly gained momentum and at the age of 11, he became the International Juvenile Champion in Ballroom and Latin dance and represented England in the World and European Championships.

At 19 Dale moved to Denmark to continue his career, which saw him win the Danish National Championship and the Open Scandinavian 10 Dance Championships, as well as achieving 3rd position in the Open British Championships.

Dale retired from full time competitive dancing at the age of 22 due to injury and then moved to the USA, where he spent a number of years travelling, teaching and adjudicating international competitions.

In 2007, when his father, Tony, moved City-Limits to its present location, Dale decided to come back from the USA to become involved in the day-to-day running of the business and to support the launch of the new studio. Since that time, Dale has continued to teach at City-Limits and has become one of the UK’s leading competitive adjudicators. He also coaches many of the top ballroom and latin couples in the country and has consulted on various TV shows, most recently ITV’s ‘Born-To-Shine.
